Dental prosthetics in Krakow should be considered if you are missing several teeth in the oral cavity. The fact is that in the absence of one or more teeth, the bite may change and the jaw joint may be deformed.

The reason for the need for prosthetics is the deterioration of blood supply to the gums, bad habits, possibly poor nutrition or climatic conditions. This leads to the fact that in the course of life, approximately until the age of 30-35, we observe the deterioration of the health of the teeth. Their partial or complete loss, chipping and fractures. These gaps and gaps in the teeth affect the appearance, smile and overall health.

If one, several or all teeth are lost, modern dentistry offers a complete restoration of teeth with the help of prosthetics. In the Giorno Dentale clinic, dental prosthetics is a guarantee of your ideal healthy smile.

Prosthetic teeth is a quite popular service that is in demand among patients. Over time, there are more and more clinics in Kyiv that provide dental prosthetics services, but not every one of them can maintain the quality and moderate cost of the service.

Dental clinic Giorno Dentale provides this medical service at the highest level, maintaining the quality of service for patients at the international level.

Dental prosthetics - restoring the function and aesthetics of the dentition

Orthopedic dentist deals with dental prosthetics and restoration of chewing efficiency. It is he who can determine the indications for one or another type of prosthetics. Today, the task of orthopedic dentistry is not only to restore the function of the tooth so that the patient can chew food normally. Aesthetics is one of the most important criteria for future orthopedic construction.

Moreover, it is often dissatisfaction with the appearance of the teeth that makes patients turn to dentists for dental prosthetics in order to achieve more optimal aesthetics. Modern technologies allow the orthopedic dentists of the Giorno Dentale network of clinics to achieve good results, in which the restorations on the teeth will look beautiful and natural.

Why do you need dentures?

Prosthetics of teeth is shown primarily to patients who:

missing teeth
endodontically treated teeth
high coefficient of tissue loss of a "living" tooth
aesthetically unsatisfactory appearance of the teeth
We use removable and non-removable types of dental prosthetics for complete restoration of teeth in the network of modern dentistry clinics Giorno Dentale in Kyiv.

Types of dentures and criteria for their selection

Removable dentures are orthopedic structures that the patient can use in case of partial or complete loss of teeth. They are made in the dental laboratory specifically for the patient, taking into account the peculiarities of his oral cavity.

Advantages of removable dentures:
cost - removable dentures are much cheaper
speed of production of dental prostheses
the speed of installation of dental prostheses

Removable dentures have a number of disadvantages - they require regular care, are difficult to fix on the lower jaw and tend to rub the gums a little during initial use.

Types of removable dentures that we use in the network of clinics
Partially removable dentures are attached using clips or attachmen, so they can only be installed on a jaw that still has a few healthy teeth.
conditionally removable dentures are fixed with screws or on dental cement. This type of construction cannot be removed by the patient himself, but only in the dental chair. Of the features: when a removable prosthesis for one tooth is needed, this is the only true option.
completely removable dentures are fixed with suction cups or applied with glue. It is very easy to remove and install them yourself.
Types of removable dentures based on the materials from which they are manufactured in the network of our clinics "Giorno Dentale":

Immediate prostheses. These are temporary structures that are used to replace one tooth (or several) in a person's mouth for the period of necessary manipulations for the manufacture and preparation of a permanent tooth replacement prosthesis. As an example of such a design, we can cite a prosthesis called a "butterfly". It is designed to restore aesthetics in the place of loss of one tooth. The period of wearing an immediate prosthesis is several months. The prosthetic element should be regularly removed from the mouth for hygienic procedures, the masticatory load on such a structure should be minimal.

Plate (acrylic) partially removable structures. Such dental prostheses (by analogy with a removable structure made of acrylic plastic, replace all teeth) are fixed in a person's mouth on the basis of creating a vacuum effect. They are not very plastic and may rub the gums at first.

Removable dentures based on nylon. The removable structures of this plan are elastic and cause less discomfort than dental replacement elements made of plastic. Patients who use this type of dentures may not take the structure out of their mouth at night. But nylon dentures, by the way

to excessive softness and elasticity, accelerates the process of bone tissue atrophy.

Bügel dental prostheses. Removable dental replacement elements, the design of which is based on a metal arch. Such prostheses are securely attached to the adjacent teeth with the help of hooks (clips) or locks (attachments). One part of the locking element of removable structures with attachments is located on the dental prosthesis itself, and the second part is attached to the inner side of the abutment tooth. Therefore, the models of such dentures look aesthetically pleasing. Bügel has a smaller area, is securely fixed in the mouth, and its service life is 7-10 years.

When choosing a removable denture to restore the functions of the teeth, you should consider all the options listed above and weigh all the pros and cons.

Basic rules of care for removable dentures:

After eating, the denture must be removed from the mouth and washed under running water, the oral cavity is thoroughly rinsed.

The removable structure requires daily treatment with disinfectants

Patients with dentures are not recommended to eat hard and sticky food, abuse chewing gum.

Do not subject the structure to mechanical impact, protect it from shocks and falls.

Fixed dentures - they include all types of structures that are fixed by a doctor in dentistry.

Modern methods of permanent dental prosthetics, which we use in the network of Giorno Dentale clinics, allow us to solve almost any task for the patient in the absence of teeth. Our specialists are regularly trained by leading world and European specialists and use this experience in our clinics.
Types of fixed prostheses:

Crowns are a type of fixed dentures that are used to eliminate the defect of missing one or more teeth. The main types of crowns are metal-ceramic, all-ceramic and ceramic crowns based on zirconium dioxide. They differ in cost, materials and are used by dentists-orthopedics individually, taking into account the peculiarities of installation. For example, metal-ceramic crowns are cheaper in price, but there is a risk of gum reaction to the crown and the need to remove the nerve.

Bridge-shaped dentures are a type of permanent dentures, used on implants in modern dentistry. A convenient way to restore teeth in the absence of 2-6 teeth. Bridge prostheses are installed on 2-3 implants.

Inlays are a permanent type of dental prosthetics, in which the patient has lost a significant part of the tooth, but it can be restored "like a designer" by adding an inlay.

Implants are a modern type of tooth restoration "turnkey" with the use of titanium screws, which allow to restore the absence of one, several or completely all teeth. Complete prosthetics on implants is carried out in a network of modern dentistry clinics based on international All on 4 and All on 6 operation protocols

Veneers are one of the types of dental prosthetics. They are thin ceramic plates that are made in the laboratory. When processing front teeth for veneers, the orthopedist removes a small amount of hard tissue (up to 2 mm). Before processing teeth directly under veneers, the doctor, technician and patient determine the future shape of the teeth by "trying on" wax or plastic veneers (mock-up).

Luminaires are a type of veneers that were first invented in the United States in order to avoid grinding patients' teeth to eliminate cosmetic defects in the smile area.

The main questions that patients ask about dental prosthetics

How to choose a type of dental prosthetics?

As a rule, the type of prosthesis is offered to you by the doctor during the consultation. It is very important to examine the oral cavity and make a computer tomography, in this way the dentist will see the nuances of the possibility of restoring the absence of one or more teeth. According to the work standards of the Giorno Dentale network of clinics, we offer several treatment plan options to the patient, and he already chooses the optimal one.

Is it necessary to remove the nerve during dental prosthetics?

The nerve of a healthy tooth does not always need to be removed. If it is not necessary, for example, with small turning. In any case, we try to preserve as much as possible all healthy teeth during prosthetics operations.

How often should dentures be changed?

Removable dentures are recommended to be changed every 4 years, but fixed dentures depend on the type of prosthesis, mainly according to the 10-year standard. However, with proper care and professional hygiene, the term of their use can be practically lifelong.

How long will it take to get used to dentures?

It takes 2-3 months to get used to removable prostheses, but to fixed prostheses, practically in the first 7-14 days.

And what will happen if the lost teeth are not restored?

As a rule, there are several risks here. The first risk is an increased likelihood of gastrointestinal disease. Because the food will enter the stomach poorly chewed, which will eventually lead to illness. The second risk is the loss of other teeth due to their displacement in the direction of the lost tooth and over time will lead to their loosening. The third risk is inflammation of the maxillofacial joint with impaired bite and speech. The fourth risk is premature aging of the face.
